Professor Goodsleep compares the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Soft Cloud Pillow Top with the Beautyrest World Class Medium Pillow Top

Quick verdict

The Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Soft with Cloud Pillow Top and the Beautyrest World Class Level Three Medium Pillow Top pursue a similar goal: meaningful pressure relief without giving up the support and responsiveness of pocketed coils. They arrive there with different personalities.

The Brooklyn Bedding is softer, more responsive, and less expensive based on the showroom price I observed. The Beautyrest is slightly firmer and has the stronger balance of pressure relief and back support in my current scoring system.

My narrow overall pick is the Beautyrest World Class Medium Pillow Top for shoppers who want the most balanced combination of cushioning and support. My value pick is the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Soft Cloud Pillow Top, especially for a side sleeper who wants a softer, livelier hybrid and can maintain good alignment despite its extra waist sink.

This is not a blowout. The Beautyrest scores 9.2 overall and the Brooklyn Bedding scores 9.1. The correct choice depends more on your body and preferred feel than on that one-tenth difference.

An important testing note

I personally tested the Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Soft with Cloud Pillow Top in a showroom. My observations about its feel, pressure relief, responsiveness, motion control, and waist sink come directly from that test.

The current Beautyrest World Class Medium Pillow Top has not yet received the same firsthand showroom evaluation. Its scores are calibrated from its construction, its category, current manufacturer information, and the standards I use across the Bedding University mattress database. I am keeping that distinction visible because a responsible comparison should not imply equal firsthand evidence when it does not exist.

The exact mattresses being compared

Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid Soft with Cloud Pillow Top

  • Personally tested showroom mattress.

  • Real Firmness: 3.5/10.

  • Overall rating: 9.1/10.

  • Pressure relief: 8.5/10.

  • Back support: 7.0/10.

  • Queen display price observed: approximately $1,212.

  • Best trait: unusually complete soft-hybrid performance for the money.

  • Main caution: my waist sank farther than expected.

The showroom information card listed the Signature Hybrid at 11.5 inches. Brooklyn Bedding's current online Cloud Pillow Top configuration is listed at approximately 14 inches, so model-year and showroom specifications may differ. The comfort findings in this article apply to the mattress I actually tested.

Beautyrest World Class Level Three Medium Pillow Top

  • Current evaluation basis: calibrated category and construction assessment; not firsthand tested.

  • Real Firmness: 3.8/10.

  • Overall rating: 9.2/10.

  • Pressure relief: 9.0/10.

  • Back support: 8.0/10.

  • Motion isolation: 8.0/10.

  • Edge support: 8.0/10.

  • Cooling: 7.0/10.

  • Value: 9.0/10.

  • Estimated queen price: approximately $1,499, with promotions and retailers varying.

Beautyrest lists this model at approximately 15.75 inches tall. Its construction combines a traditional quilted pillow-top surface, responsive and memory-foam comfort materials, cooling fibers, and 1000 Density Pocketed Coil technology.

Firmness and overall feel

The numerical difference—3.5 versus 3.8—looks small, but the character of the two mattresses is not identical.

The Signature Soft Cloud Pillow Top provides the softer and more buoyant experience. Its comfort layers compress readily, but the surface recovers quickly when you move. It gives you a noticeable cradle without the delayed, stuck feeling associated with dense slow-response memory foam.

The World Class Medium Pillow Top should feel a little more controlled and traditional. Its quilted surface and layered foams create a fuller pillow-top sensation, while the coil system is intended to maintain a stronger support platform beneath the cushioning.

Choose the Brooklyn Bedding if you want a soft hybrid that feels responsive. Choose the Beautyrest if you want a cushioned traditional mattress that holds you a little more securely.

Pressure relief

Professor Goodsleep evaluates shoulder and hip pressure relief while noting extra waist sink on a soft pillow-top hybrid mattress

Advantage: Beautyrest World Class, narrowly

The Signature earned an excellent 8.5 for pressure relief during my test. My shoulders and hips settled comfortably, making it a strong match for many side sleepers. The surface provided real cushioning without a slow memory-foam melt.

The World Class currently carries a 9.0 pressure-relief score. Its taller comfort package, SurfaceTouch Gel Memory Foam, ActiveResponse MAX Memory Foam, and World Class Relief High Density Foam are designed to add immediate and deeper contouring.

That does not mean every side sleeper will automatically prefer Beautyrest. A shopper who dislikes memory-foam contouring may prefer the quicker recovery of the Signature. The score advantage reflects the World Class model's broader pressure-relief package, not a claim that one feel is universally more comfortable.

Back support and alignment

Advantage: Beautyrest World Class

Back support is the most important difference in this comparison. The Beautyrest scores 8.0, while the Signature scores 7.0.

The Signature's pocketed coils provide a legitimate foundation, but the Soft comfort package and Cloud Pillow Top allowed my waist to sink farther than I expected. A lighter side sleeper may never experience that as a problem. Someone carrying more weight through the torso could.

The World Class Medium Pillow Top is slightly firmer and has a more controlled support profile. It is the safer choice for a shopper who wants pillow-top cushioning but is concerned about sinking too deeply through the middle.

Dedicated stomach sleepers should still approach both carefully. A firmer, flatter model may provide better alignment than either pillow-top option.

Motion isolation and ease of movement

The Signature performed unusually well at combining motion control with easy movement. Its foams absorbed a useful amount of disturbance, but the surface did not trap me when I changed positions.

The World Class uses individually pocketed coils and multiple contouring foams, earning an 8.0 motion-isolation score. It should be a good couples mattress, although its thicker comfort system may feel less immediately springy than the Brooklyn Bedding.

Motion-isolation edge: Beautyrest on current scoring. Ease-of-movement edge: Brooklyn Bedding based on my firsthand test.

Cooling

Neither mattress should be presented as active refrigeration.

The current Signature Cloud Pillow Top uses a cool-to-the-touch cover and benefits from airflow through its coil system. The World Class uses InfiniCool MAX materials, natural lux fibers, and pocketed-coil airflow, earning a 7.0 cooling score.

Both may feel cool or neutral initially, but sheets, protectors, room temperature, and body heat will affect the overnight result. I would not choose between them on cooling alone unless one cover feels clearly better to you in person.

Price and value

Professor Goodsleep compares the responsive value of the Brooklyn Bedding pillow top with the balanced cushioning and support of the Beautyrest pillow top

Advantage: Brooklyn Bedding

The Signature's approximately $1,212 queen display price is a major part of its appeal. It delivered responsive pressure relief, useful motion control, pocketed-coil support, and a finished pillow-top feel at a price below many premium competitors.

The World Class Medium Pillow Top is estimated around $1,499 for a queen, although retailer promotions vary. Its 9.0 value score reflects a strong mix of cushioning, support, motion control, and traditional construction.

The Beautyrest may justify the additional money for someone who needs the stronger pressure-relief/support balance. If the Signature keeps your spine neutral, however, the lower price makes it the better bargain.

Who should choose the Brooklyn Bedding Signature?

Choose the Signature Soft Cloud Pillow Top if you:

  • Want the softer and more responsive mattress.

  • Prefer a lively hybrid feel over slower memory-foam contouring.

  • Are primarily a side sleeper and do not need strong midsection resistance.

  • Want a premium-feeling pillow top near the lower end of this price comparison.

  • Value easy repositioning and good motion control in the same mattress.

Who should choose the Beautyrest World Class?

Choose the World Class Medium Pillow Top if you:

  • Want pillow-top pressure relief with stronger back support.

  • Prefer a traditional quilted mattress feel.

  • Need a more controlled surface beneath the waist and hips.

  • Want strong motion isolation for a couple.

  • Are willing to spend somewhat more for the more balanced scoring profile.

Professor Goodsleep's bottom line

The Beautyrest World Class Medium Pillow Top wins this comparison by the narrowest possible margin because it combines a 9.0 pressure-relief score with better back support. It is the more balanced choice on paper for the widest range of shoppers seeking a cushioned pillow top.

The Brooklyn Bedding Signature Soft Cloud Pillow Top is the better value and the more responsive choice. It is one of the most complete soft hybrids I have personally tested under $1,500. Its only meaningful weakness in this matchup is the extra waist sink I experienced.

Do not pay more simply because the Beautyrest wins by one-tenth overall. If the Signature fits your body correctly, it gives up very little and may feel better to someone who prefers fast response. If you are concerned about alignment or midsection immersion, the Beautyrest is the safer bet.

Overall winner: Beautyrest World Class Medium Pillow Top, narrowly Best value: Brooklyn Bedding Signature Soft Cloud Pillow Top Best for responsive softness: Brooklyn Bedding Best pressure-relief/support balance: Beautyrest
