The first thing I notice when I lie on the ProAdapt Firm is just how firm and supportive it feels. Initially, it can feel almost hard, but that is not the whole story. As the TEMPUR material responds to your body, you gradually settle into it and it begins contouring around you. That is what separates it from many traditional firm mattresses—you get the strong underlying support of a genuinely firm mattress, but the surface still adapts enough to provide meaningful pressure relief and comfort. For sleepers who need substantial support, particularly through the lower back and midsection, I think that is an excellent combination. Rather than simply making the mattress harder, the TEMPUR material gives you support while still providing enough contouring and cushioning to remain comfortable through the night. For someone who genuinely prefers or needs a firm sleeping surface but does not want an unforgiving mattress, the ProAdapt Firm is one of my favorite choices.
